Delicious, great portion sizes and affordable for the whole family! There’s a ton of variety from savory to sweet and the coffee and mimosas were also delicious. Chicken and waffles had a great flavor and the food came out very quickly, even though it was a busy morning. Great breakfast option in the neighborhood! Definitely recommend it!

This was a great authentic place. The atmosphere was nice and inviting. The food was great but the French toast could use a little more flavor and the breakfast burrito was tasteful with all the different elements including the chorizo but overall this was a nice place to eat.

Came here around 11:30 and it was pretty packed, which already says a lot! The staff were super friendly and our server was great, very attentive and welcoming. My friend and I sat at the bar, which was surprisingly comfortable. The stools were solid wooden ones (not those thin ones that hurt after a while), and the bar area itself was spacious, so we were able to eat and chat comfortably. If you’re coming for a table, I’d recommend making a reservation ahead of time the wait looked to be about 30–45 minutes for walk-ins. I ordered The Viking’s Breakfast, which was absolutely delicious! The home potatoes were the highlight, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. My friend got the Avocado BLT Benedict (without bacon) and really enjoyed it too. We shared the French toast bites with fruit, which were crispy, fluffy, and just perfection with the bananas, strawberries, and blueberries on top. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be my go-to brunch spot. My friend already said he’s coming back with his friends next time!

This place is a gem in its new location and I'm impressed with the transformation. The modern space is beautifully designed with whimsical wall art that adds character without being overwhelming. Seating is comfortable and inviting - perfect for lingering over coffee. Food 5/5 The menu offers a wonderful variety of interesting options that go beyond standard breakfast fare. Everything I've tried has been expertly prepared and flavorful. Portion sizes are generous and presentation is thoughtful. No digestion issues. The only minor disappointment is that toast is now an extra charge with the "start your day" egg meal, which feels a bit nickel-and-dime for an otherwise excellent establishment. Service 5/5 The staff here truly shines. They're attentive without hovering, keeping coffee cups filled and checking in at just the right moments. Everyone I've encountered has been friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely seems to enjoy working here. Service is consistently prompt even during busy periods. Ambiance 5/5 The new space is a significant upgrade. It strikes that perfect balance between modern design and cozy comfort. The whimsical wall decorations add personality, and the overall atmosphere is bright and welcoming. Noise levels remain reasonable even when busy. Big windows! Cleanliness 5/5 Being a new location, everything is spotless from tables to service areas. The restrooms are well-maintained and now can accommodate more than one person. The overall cleanliness adds to the pleasant dining experience. Parking/Accessibility 5/5 What a difference from their previous location! Parking is now plentiful, and the addition of a traffic light makes entering and exiting much safer and more convenient. This improvement alone makes visiting much more enjoyable. Value 4/5 While not inexpensive, you definitely get what you pay for here. The quality of ingredients, preparation, and overall experience justifies the pricing. Portions are satisfying, though the à la carte approach to basics like toast feels unnecessary given the price point of main dishes. Overall 5/5 Brownstones has become my go-to breakfast spot for good reason. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, beautiful surroundings, and improved accessibility makes it worth every penny. Whether meeting friends or enjoying a solo meal, this place consistently delivers a top-notch experience that keeps me coming back.

Went to brunch at this new spot near home on west Islip. Got there on a Sunday around 1100 & had to wait about 45mins. It was well worth the wait as the food was delicious, the drinks were great & they even had seasonal ones for the holidays. Our waitress Kristen was great & kept us covered with the hover. Much appreciated. I’ll definitely be back with a bigger crew.

The downside to this is the wait. I put my name on the wait list before I left the house and I still had to wait 40 minutes before being seated. Its very busy and noisy but what can you fo. We met some new people while eating which was good. The egg whites were good, the cooked them how I liked. They don't use fresh ingredients for everything. The mushrooms were canned and so were the peppers. I didn't see or taste the onions. But the spinach was fresh and I like canned mushrooms. The chorizo was yummy and cooked just the way I like it. The service was ok. The waitress gave you time to eat and wasnt breathing down your neck. The coffee was nice and hot. I should have asked for an unsweetened flavor syrup. The butternut squash soup, that was yummy. They should do a pumpkin soup. I know it would be fire! Overall it was a nice outing. We spend more time waiting than dining, my mom said. The bill was 85 for 3 people and we left a 20 tip.
